Keep it Clean

Simply cleaning dirt and debris off your deck throughout the summer can have a major impact on the longevity of your deck. As debris like leaves, branches, and other decaying matter accumulates on your deck, it can cause the wood to stain or even break down over time. Not only are messes unsightly and detract from the relaxing ambiance of your deck, they can cause major damage. To keep your deck in tip-top shape, simply hose it down when messes arise. If you notice a coating of dirt or dust on your deck, pressure washing it occasionally can help remove build up and keep your deck in good condition. 

Fix Issues as They Arise

For pressure-treated lumber, decks or other natural hardwoods especially small issues can arise that can quickly be fixed to help  maintain your deck.
